Carlo Alberto Furia holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science (2003) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a "Laurea" degree in Computer Science Engineering (2003) from Politecnico di Milano, and a PhD degree in Computer Science (2007) also from Politecnico di Milano. His main research interests are in the field of formal techniques and methods for software engineering and formal system verification. He is a convinced free software advocate.
