About
I am currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Comparative and International Studies (CIS) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). In January 2010, I have finished my D.Phil. thesis at the University of Oxford with the title "Power, Regions and Hegemony: India and South Africa Compared", which I will publish as a book in the near future. I am currently also working on a project on the projection of the European environmental vision onto countries in the Global South and have further developed an interest in regional environmental governance. The overarching theme of both projects is the question of what defines "environmental power" and how it is used by different types of players in global environmental politics.
From 1 January 2009, I will work as a post-doctoral researcher at the Leibniz Graduate School on Regional Power Shifts and the Global Order situated at the GIGA German Institute for Global and Area Studies and the University of Hamburg.
