About
I did my Phd. at the University of Toronto, in the Department of Philosophy. Spent a year at the University of Konstanz (Germany), to finish up my thesis (2005-06). Afterwhich, I began with the project, _Knowledge in the Making_, for which I spent one year (2007-08) at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (Berlin), and then nearly two years at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence (Italy). As of the middle of Dec. 2009, I am at the ETH-Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). Also am member of the NCCR Eikones Group at the University of Basel.
Involved with two projects at the moment:
1) History and Philosophy of Observation - Looking at the procedures of observation, involving hand drawings, in 19th century astronomy.
2) Scientific Observation and Images and their Role in the Early History of Analytic Philosophy - especially as it relates to theories of perception.
